A
portable generator is a device used to provide temporary power during power outages or power outages. To ensure safe and stable operation and reduce the possibility of accidents, the following operating procedures have been developed.
I. Preparing the Portable Generator
Safety Inspection: Before use, the operator must conduct a thorough inspection of the generator to ensure that all components are intact, especially critical components such as the battery, fuel tank, and transmission.
Fluid Inspection: Check that the storage and supply of working fluids such as fuel, lubricating oil, and cooling water are adequate and meet the generator's technical specifications.
Electrical Inspection: Check that the electrical equipment and accessories required for operation are in place, and that the cables and connections are intact and properly grounded.
Environmental Inspection: Ensure that the space around the generator is clear, free of obstructions, and well ventilated. Also, ensure that the generator is properly grounded to prevent accidents caused by static electricity.
II. Portable Generator Operating Procedures
1. Preparing the Generator
Set the throttle lever to the minimum position.
Open the fuel valve and confirm that the fuel gauge is normal.
Check that the battery is sufficiently charged; if insufficient, recharge it immediately. Check the machine for sufficient cooling water; add water if necessary.
Confirm that the generator is disconnected from the external power grid.
Set the generator to manual starting mode.
Check that the generator's operating panel is functioning properly and that the indicator is illuminated.
Operators should wear protective clothing, such as work clothes and safety glasses.
2. Starting the Generator
Recoil Starting
Loosen the clamp and remove the oil hose. Reconnect the hose after exhausting all air.
Turn the engine speed switch to the "Run" position.
Pull the recoil starter handle (pull the handle until you feel pressure, then return it to its original position; press the decompression handle; it will automatically return to its original position after the starter starts; quickly pull the recoil starter handle with both hands).
Electric Starting
Pre-start checks are the same as for manual starting.
Turn the engine speed handle to the "Run" position.
Turn the starter switch to the "Start" position.
Immediately remove your hand from the starter switch after the engine starts. If the starter motor fails to start after 10 seconds, wait 15 seconds before starting again.
3. During Operation
Always monitor the generator's operating status and take prompt action if any abnormalities occur.
Regularly check the generator's oil level, cooling water level, engine oil, air filter, and other components to maintain proper operation.
Prevent overloading and adjust the throttle appropriately based on the electrical load to ensure proper operation of the generator.
Keep the generator's surroundings clean to prevent dust and debris from entering the machine and affecting its normal operation.
In severe weather, take timely measures to protect the generator from wind and rain to ensure safe operation.
4. Shutdown
Before shutting down the generator, adjust the throttle lever to the minimum position.
Close the fuel valve and shut down the engine.
Check for flammable materials around the generator and remove them.
Disconnect the generator from the external power grid and power off.
Store the generator in a safe place to prevent theft and other safety hazards.
The above are the operating procedures for portable generators. To ensure safe and stable operation of the generator and the personal safety of the operator, please strictly follow these instructions. If you have any questions or encounter any unusual situations during operation, please stop the generator immediately and seek professional assistance.
